Trouble in applying Tourist/Entry Permit for Dubai
posted by DV on Saturday, February 22, 2020
Hi All,
I plan to travel to Dubai on a business trip in March 2020. I just got my new civil id which shows my passport number and other details.
When applying for the Dubai visa on the AMER website, I am asked for my residence number and issue date of residence. When we had the sticker residence on our passport, it was easier to find the residence number and the date of the issue.
But nowhere on my civil id is the residence number or issue date given.
I, humbly request the IIK viewers for guidance for the above. If anybody has recently applied for Dubai visa through AMER, can help me out here, I will be much obliged.

Hi, yes if you check your previous sticker iqama, there will be residence number..else you can put civil id number. I regular apply thru Amer and always put civil id number as residence number. It never created problems and visa issued within 2 to 3 hours.

Residency Number and Civil ID number always remain same except for the one who exited and came back on the new visa on changed/new PP number. It can easily be found on ur old sticker. U can use your civil ID number too for ur visa application.
