Not even needed for residency renewal now a days but u never know bcz MOI clerk may ask. Having said so, it might be needed for Civil ID renewal if PACI has asked to report in person with the PP. Normal renewal, PP is not needed. Your HR/Admin can only give you the correct update.

You can call any typing center! Nowadays, all renewals are done without producing passport! Anyways, you are attaching copies in the documents to be submitted.

Hi Moh, Practically PP is not required during renewal. But Better carry PP with you for any additional requirement of officers, or else your whole day will wasted just because of not having PP.

In any case only your company can renew your residency. Have they renewed? If yes, you can renew your civil ID. As others have commented normally PP is not required for this.

I think Moh got confused with residency renewal and civil id renewal. @moh. your company will renew your residency (not civil ID) for this they need your passport. After they renew your residency , you have to renew your civil id which will have your new residency validity date and other details. For renewing your Civil ID card you can log on to PACI.e.gov.kw website and select renew civil id card and follow the procedure , pay KD 5 in payment portal and your civil ID card will be ready in one or two days. After this you can visit PACI office in south surra and collect the new civil ID. Hope it''s clear now.
