Not advisable to buy prado 4 cylinder because the pick up is very low for 4 cylinder.

Compared to 6 Cyl yes, but why do you need so much pick up is the question that i ask. In Kuwait , the roads are clean and better than most places. for a 4cyl the petrol consumption is better than a 6 or 8. So i prefer a 4cyl always.

Prado is a very heavy vehicle. 6 cylinder itself the pickup is not that great so I can imagine a 4 cylinder pick up. if you are interested in mileage then im sorry Prado is not for you.

Regardless 4 or 6 cylinder, it is one of the most boring vehicles (I have owned one for few months) yet overpriced. For the same price range you can buy a Tahoe or Yukon.

To be frank, Prado lost its charm and so so over-priced.
With that money you can get better performing non-chinese vehicles.

I owned 2 prados since 2006 onwards, both were 4 cyl, I never felt it was boring as I didn’t spend my time in the car to relieve my boredom. It took me to places and accommodated a huge space for travel needs. I don’t understand what people mean by”boring “ and over rated. Tahoe or Yukon looks good and is a powerful suv, but no resale value at all.
When it comes to maintenance Toyota is definetly the best. I never see the garage in the past other than oil and filter change and major service time. Then with regards to those idiots who feel Prado has to do with nurses , then you have an issue with it, learn to deal with it by yourself. Iam not a nurse nor my wife is. My relative drives an American car since 4 years and he has already spend around 40% of the second hand price for which he bought it for since then. People live to show off rather than living a normal life.
