GP letter and going back to home country after resignation
posted by Resigned on Wednesday, October 21, 2020
Dear Friends, I have a unique query.
I came to Kuwait on visit visa and my visa was changed to work visa. If I resign, would a GP be required to cancel my Visa and to exit Kuwait. If a GP letter and I produce one, is it mandatory that I have to go back to my home country (India) from Kuwait or I can go to any country where I have a valid visa?
Thanking You All.

You need to understand that GP stands for government project and nothing else. If your residence is on a government project, then you need that letter to exit. The document is issued by flights having direct route to any city in india only when you purchase a return ticket. So you cant go anywhere other than India. You can try to cancel the ticket after you are issued the gp letter but I really dont have knowledge about that.
