Sell out your own car within the residency is valid and use rental car till your last date of exit..

Dear Habib.
I just have 5 days in my hands. After that my residence shall be cancelled and I will not have CID in my possession. Till then selling the car is extreme remote chance.
Kindly shed more light on how can I drive a rental car if I don''t have CID. I understand that I should have active residence visa to be able to drive car.

No idea..Better keeps cancelling residency date at its maximum date of exit..Hope if you have driving license with valid date you can simply drive the rental cars even if residency is expired..Better contact rental cars office..Rental cars have several options to drive the car..

By the way now they are not asking you to return the civil ID when your cancel your residency. I cancelled my wife''s residency last week. Her civil ID is very much with me.

1.Traffic department needs buyers original Civil id, seller’s CIVIL ID no need.(my experience)
2.If u still confused, then transfer the veichle to your friend, who is having a valid driving licence & not more than one or two veichle ownership.
3.If you are not able find a friend with a valid driving license,then make a (TOTAL/GENERAL/FULL (General department of Traffic must be included)power of attorney from your residency area honourable court (cost :stamp10 kd+ translation certification fee(power of attorney language is Arabic depends on the person available in the court, below 10 kd )..it’s not a complicated process .
Nb.took appointment as per government policies(Meta portal)
