A Celebration of Motherhood: An Unforgettable Tribute at AIIS

Mothers are a priceless gift from God, an exquisite blend of love, devotion, and sacrifice. The bond between a mother and her child transcends words. Aspire Indian International School (AIIS) celebrated Mother’s Day with unparalleled zeal and exuberance on Monday, May 13, 2024.

The day's festivities commenced with a soulful rendition of the Holy Quran, followed by a reverent salutation, the stirring notes of the Kuwait National Anthem, and the heartfelt School Prayer. The program was inaugurated with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the esteemed chief guest, Ms. Stephanie Mathew, Head of Sustainability and Strategic Growth at AIIS, in the distinguished company of the school Principal, Ms. Geetika Ahuja, and the program coordinator, Ms. Helen.

In her address, the Principal extended a warm welcome to the esteemed assembly of mothers. She eloquently articulated the profound notion that God, in His infinite wisdom, chose to manifest life through the essence of motherhood. She added that a mother is the epitome of selflessness, placing her children above all worldly concerns.

The events that followed unfurled a tapestry of captivating performances by the students of KG and grades 1 and 2. Their dynamic and rhythmic dance performances included a traditional greeting dance to warmly welcome all the mothers, a thematic fusion dance, artistic gymnastics by grades 4 and 5, and a Middle Eastern fitness dance. Each performance left the audience spellbound and enchanted. The crowning glory of the event was the spectacular fashion show, aptly named ‘Trendy Display’ and ‘Fashion Extravaganza,’ presented by the KG students. This vibrant showcase, brimming with colours, attitude, and innocence, was a visual delight. The school choir serenaded the audience with the soulful tune of "Mother of Mine," paying a melodious tribute to all mothers. The distinguished judges meticulously selected the 'Well-Dressed Mom,' and prizes were awarded to the deserving winners.

An enlightening session on 'Parenting' was conducted by Ms. Lia, the school counsellor, offering profound insights to the mothers who juggle multifaceted roles with grace and aplomb. The active participation and heartfelt engagement of the mothers throughout the program stood as a testament to their deep love and unwavering bond with the institute, which is dedicated to moulding young minds into spirited and vibrant individuals.

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Esther of Grade 3, followed by the resonant strains of the Indian National Anthem, performed by the school choir. The event was masterfully anchored by Ms. Rosita Noronha and Ms. Maimoona Islam.

The Mother’s Day celebration was an unequivocal success, a day suffused with love, laughter, and poignant moments, crafting memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
