TKS Kuwait celebrates International Women

Telugu Kala Samithi (TKS) Kuwait proudly announces the grand celebration of International Women's Day & Holi festivities, exclusively for the ladies which was first of it’s kind and very aptly from the inception of the idea, to entire planning & execution was orchestrated by the women themselves.

The event was held at AlRaya Complex Party Hall in Abu Halifa area on 17th March 2023.

TKS President, Mr. D. Sai Subbarao mentioned that the long standing non-profitable community organisation has recently conducted various innovative programme and initiated online talk sessions along with their regular events to benefit everyone at large. He also pointed out that the Women’s Day special event was only possible due to the efforts of their executive committee, ladies wing and was duly complemented by the tremendous encouragement, participation of the members including children.

The event started at 10am and was thoroughly enjoyed all day long equally by each & every woman across all ages. The event was flagged off with the traditional ‘lighting the lamp’ followed by creative games, lucky dip draws, ramp walk and was followed by snacks and sumptuous food served by Annapurna restaurant.

The event was a culmination of about 100 women from all walks of life and it is worth highlighting that the sacrifices, great success stories of few Indian women from the independence of our country was shared to motivate everyone. The event has brought home great memories to treasure and in totality was wonderfully received with pomp and gaiety.

It appears the ladies had "A Day Off" away from the daily chores and heartily enjoyed to the fullest. Hats off to TKS community once again for organizing such wonderful (out-of-the-box) events.
