The Director of the Cleaning and Road Occupancy Department in the Hawalli Municipality and Chairman of the Spring Camps Committee, Faisal Al-Otaibi, warned visitors against doing barbecues on the beach as no official decision has yet been issued allowing barbecues.
Earlier Municipality had identified five spots for allowing barbecues, however it is not yet entered into force.
Municipality had referred approval to allow barbecue to the legal department, and is waiting for the completion of the process, and therefore barbecue at the present time is still prohibited.
