IDAK Participates in Oral Health Camp Organized by ICSK

The Indian Dentists Alliance in Kuwait (IDAK) took part in a comprehensive medical and dental screening camp organized by the Indian Community School, Kuwait (ICSK). The event, aimed at benefiting the staff and families of the four schools under ICSK’s management, highlighted the importance of oral health care within the community.

Representing IDAK were Dr. Prashanthy R Prasad, Dr. Ajay Vazhiyodan, Dr. Dhanalakshmi Mannem, Dr. Nadia Shoukat, Dr. Jane John Thomas, Dr. Shashikala Savla, Dr. Santosh CV, Dr. Suja Siby, Dr. Lini Mathew and IDAK Joint Secretary Dr. Asheel Mohammed. Notably, students also participated in the camp for the first time, gaining experience in conducting voluntary activities that promote community well-being.

IDAK is known for its active involvement in oral health screening camps organized by various socio-cultural organizations in Kuwait. Dr. Prashanthy R Prasad, Chair of IDAK’s Community Welfare Committee, and Co-Chair Dr. Ajay Vazhiyodan emphasized IDAK’s dedication to raising awareness about oral health care and stated “We are committed to educating the community on the importance of good oral hygiene for overall health and well-being". IDAK Dental Patient Handbook, the concise booklet made in 6 languages commonly used in Kuwait, which covers about dental problems, treatments and it's availability in Kuwait were also distributed in the camp.

In addition to IDAK’s contributions, doctors from the Indian Doctors Forum (IDF) were present to manage medical consultations, ensuring a comprehensive health screening for all attendees.

IDAK President Dr. George P Alex expressed gratitude to the participating doctors for their valuable time and effort, contributing to the camp’s success. IDAK General Secretary Dr. Jijan Sam Thomas, who coordinated with the organizers and volunteers, commended the smooth execution of the event. He also informed the community that IDAK’s volunteer services can be requested via email at [email protected] or by visiting their website at idakuwait.com.

The event underscored the collaborative efforts in promoting health awareness and community service, reflecting IDAK’s ongoing commitment to social causes in Kuwait and was supported by IDAK's Community Welfare partner, Mango Hyper.
