Thrissur Engineering College Alumni Association , Kuwait Chapter(TECALKUWAIT) held its Annual General Meeting at the prestigious Radisson Blu Hotel in Salmiya. The event, anchored by the charming Reshma Jayakumar, was a testament to the organization's commitment to fostering community and leadership.

The meeting commenced with a soulful prayer song by Ameya Suresh, setting a serene tone for the proceedings. Chairman Mr. Abdul Jabbar welcomed the attendees with a heartfelt speech, expressing his gratitude for the unwavering support and cooperation from all members. He emphasized the importance of nurturing new generation leaders to continue the remarkable tradition of TECALKUWAIT and encouraged members to actively participate in community activities to showcase their skills and talents.

General Secretary Mr. Unnikrishnan presented the annual report, detailing the numerous activities and achievements of the past year. Treasurer Mr. Krishnakumar C.K. followed with a comprehensive financial report for the year 2023-24, highlighting the organization's financial health and transparency.

AGM offered an emotional send-off to Mr. Afsal Ali, one of TECALKUWAIT's most active members. Members shared warm memories, celebrating his contributions and wishing him well in his future endeavors.

The AGM also honored in-house sponsors Mr. Huskar and Mr. Sreenath for their outstanding contributions to the TEC Challengers Cricket Cup. Their support has been invaluable to the success of the event.

A significant highlight of the meeting was the election of the new Executive Committee for 2024-25. In a landmark move, Mrs. Manju Sreenath was elected as the first-ever Chairperson, marking the year as one of women empowerment for TECALKUWAIT. The new committee includes:

The meeting featured a variety of cultural events showcasing the talents of TEC Kids. Master Siddharth Shobith captivated the audience with his keyboard performance, while Arya Arun and Nila Nimesh ’s duet dance received enthusiastic applause. Aagnya and Agney’s solo and duet performances were also well-received, and Bhavana’s rendition of a Hindi number by A.R. Rahman was outstanding.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Joint Secretary Mr. Jinesh C.S , followed by a delicious buffet that left attendees delighted.

The TECALKUWAIT Annual General Meeting 2024 was not only a celebration of past achievements but also a beacon of hope and inspiration for future endeavors. The organization looks forward to a year of continued success and community engagement under the new leadership.
