A charity project, 'Vismaya Swanthanam', undertaken by the Friends of Kannur Kuwait Expats Association (FOKE) in its 18th year of operation, handed over funds to the International Institute for People with Disabilities (IIPD) which is set to launch at Matikai in Kasargod district, on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at the Different Arts Center (DAC) headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram. The funds were handed over to DAC Executive Director Gopinath Mutukad.
Former FOKE President Xavier Antony, FOKE Media Secretary Rajith KC, Admin Secretary Vishal Raj, FOKE Trust Joint Secretary Prashant KP, Joint Treasurer Muralidharan, Trust Executive Members Pavithran Mattammal, Vijayan Arayambath, Chandramohan Kannur, Ravi Kappadan, Shaji Kadayaprat, Sudhir Motammal, George, Trust members Babu, Ajitha Ravindran, Jaleeb Unit Convener Pramod Kuleri, former Abbasiya South Unit Secretary Adarsh Joseph, also participated in the function.
DAC officials briefed the FOKE representatives about the activities of DAC and the IIPD project. Gopinath Mutukad appreciated FOKE's work. The function was accompanied by artistic performances by the children of DAC.
