AMU Old Boys’ Association (AMUOBA) Kuwait Chapter organized an Iftar on 21st March 2024

Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys’ Association (AMUOBA) Kuwait Chapter organized an Iftar on 21st March 2023 in Rajdhani Palace Khaitan.

A large number of alumni of the association, the dignitaries, head of the associations, academicians and different well known personalities from different sections of the Indian diaspora living in Kuwait attended it.

Ramadan is a month in which Qur’an is revealed, besides it teaches brotherhood, patience, tolerance and self-discipline.

AMUOBA, an Indian embassy registered alumni association in Kuwait. It works for the welfare of the alumni of AMU and the Indian community at large. Invited its alumni to attend the Iftar.

The program started on time with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Ali Tauqir son of Mr. Tauqir Ahmed. General Secretary and the convener of the program Ms. Shazia Mansoor wholeheartedly welcomed the dignitaries, guests and the members of the association and conducted the program.

Later President of the association Mr. Aslam Parvez in his presidential address laid emphasis on the upliftment of weaker section of the society. He appealed the members to become a part of the welfare work which the association is carrying forward.

Mr.Nisar Ahmed of KISR was invited to enlighten us with the virtues of Islam as well as Ramadan. Later he led us in prayer for the betterment and welfare of humanity in the entire world.

To understand the importance of Ramadan, AMUOBA conducted essay writing competition for the children of the association and the winner were announced during this Iftar.

To honour the guests and to thank them for accepting our invitation Vice President Mr. Tariq Waseem extended a token of vote of thanks.

In order to organize an event the key to success is the backstage hard work of the dedicated team and AMUOBA is privileged to have a dedicated team of Executive Council members.

The teamwork of AMUOBA Executive Council Mr. Yusuf Abdullah, Mr. Adil Sareer, Mr. Shahnawaz Ahmad, Ms. Talat Fatma, Mr. Mohammad Khurshid Anwar, Mr. Tauqir Ahmad, Mr. Maqsood Habib Khan, Mr. Masood Alam, Mr. Shahid Ali & Mr. Mohammad Asim Khan led to grand success of this gathering. Not only the EC members but many others also volunteered and have their share in the success of the event where more than 250 guests were present.
