TEF conducted a 25 days Fitness Challenge Program and celebrated International Women’s Day (8th March 2024) with WALKATHON
Tamilnadu Engineers Forum (TEF), Kuwait, the One & Only ISO Certified Engineers Forum, registered with the Embassy of India to Kuwait has celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th March 2024 with the participation of Dr. Sylendra Babu IPS, Former DGP & Head of Police Forces, Tamilnadu as Chief Guest and organized a Walkathon in Fintas Park.
During the month of February, TEF conducted a 25 days Fitness Challenge program (5th Feb 2024 – 29th February 2024) to commemorate 25th Year of TEF & rewarded the participants with the maximum footsteps walked during the 25 days Fitness Challenge.
The program was organized to share the message: “Fitness is not a one-day event; it is a continuous program to keep ourselves fit & healthy”. TEF rewarded top 3 (three) winners in male category and top 3 (three) winners in female category.
On 8th March 2024 @ 6.30 AM at Fintas Park, TEF families assembled and started the warm-up to participate in the walkathon. After 15 minutes warmup, walkathon was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Sylendra Babu IPS, Former DGP & Head of Police Forces. More than 500 people participated in the walkathon and followed with a inspiring speech by Dr. Sylendra babu on “Happy & Healthy Life Style”. The session was highly interactive and interesting to both kids and adults.
The results of the 25 days Fitness Challenge program (5th Feb 2024 – 29th February 2024) was declared and prizes were distributed by the Chief Guest Dr. Sylendra Babu IPS, Former DGP & Head of Police Forces, Tamilnadu.
Female winners: Winner. Mrs. Sridevi, Mrs. 1st Runner-up: Rufus Prathap and 2nd Runner-up: Mrs. Judy Arun Golden
Male Winners: Winner: Mr. Manivel, 1st Runner-up: Mr. Murugesan and 2nd Runner-up: Mr. Balamurugan
Participants, who walked all 25 days (minimum 10,000 steps) consistently, were recognized with medals and certificates.
During the 25 days walking challenge program, the participants were supported with important guidance on (a) fitness by Mrs. Selvi Thirumaran, (b) Diet to be followed by Mrs. Thenmalar Sivakumar and (c) Medical advice by Dr. Vijaya Rajapandiyan. All were felicitated by Dr. Sylendra Babu IPS.
Chief Guest Dr. Sylendra Babu IPS, Former DGP & Head of Police Forces, Tamilnadu was felicitated with a memento by TEF President Mr. Krishna Jegan.
International Women’s Day was celebrated by conducting special events for women and prizes were distributed for the winners.
Program ended with breakfast and the participants enjoyed the event and the ambience.
