As we all sat round the table,
Which was laden with drinks and roasted sable.
We joined our hands and hoped for cheer,
Praying for them who we hold dear.
Close your eyes and believe in the fire,
The fire which glows with your heart’s desire.
Forgive those who did you wrong,
And forget those who ignored you.
Remember all your joyous moments,
As your life flies through its segments.
The fire in your heart will only grow,
And glow and flow while it snows.
We opened our eyes to see the shine,
In all our faces as we sat to dine.
And we basked in the New Year’s glory,
As the stars fell down on us, all in a flurry.
