Peace means the positive - emotions of love and satisfaction. For a peaceful society and peaceful world, we as human beings need to control our negativity. We have to avoid fights.

The culture of India is the oldest culture in the world. India is a diverse country where many religions live together peacefully. India has always played a key role in bringing peace to various countries. During the conflict of Iran and Iraq, India had sent its force to ensure peace. India has always raised its voice against injustice happening anywhere in the world. The suppression of blacks by the white minority in South Africa was strongly opposed by India. The constitution of India through the directive principles of state policy directs the government to promote international peace. India preached the policy of non-aggression, non-interference in the internal affairs of one-another on basis of equality and mutual benefits, respect for one-another's territorial integrity. India has emerged as the regional power in South Asia. India has been raising concerns regarding decolonization, apartheid and racial discrimination since 1946. From early 1947-48, India took an active part in drafting of Universal Declaration of human rights. India has contributed troops to United Nations peacekeeping efforts in Korea, Egypt and Congo in its earlier years and in Somalia, Angola, Haiti, Liberia, Lebanon, and Rwanda in recent years and more recently in the South Sudan conflict. One of the basic principles of India's foreign policy is: ''Peaceful settlements of International Disputes".

To conclude we can say that India has played a very important and positive role to bring peace in the world''.
