In one of the largest seizure of imported liquor, authorities at Shuwaik port seized about 13,422 bottles of foreign liquor that were hidden in a shipment coming from another country. It is considered the largest seizure of imported liquor this year at Shuwaikh port. The total consignment is valued more than a million Kuwaiti dinars.

The shipment claimed as furniture, was intercepted at Shuwaik port and upon inspection, a large quantity of imported liquor was found hidden inside. Three people were involved in the smuggling and the seized items were referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures against them.
