Winners rejoice at IIK Diwali Mela 2017

Loads of surprise prizes and gift hampers made the winners to rejoice their efforts at IIK Diwali Mela 2017. Winners of various competitions like Rangoli competition, Diwali Mithai Contest , Diwali Namkeen Contest, Fancy dress for kids , Dandya Dance Competition and Inter School Lantern Competitions received their prizes at the IIK Diwali Mela on Friday, 13th October 2017.

Mrs Ashwini Nitin Aglave & Team bagged the First prize in the colorful Rangoli Competition sponsored by Al Muzaini Exchange Company. Theme of Rangoli Competition was India 2020. Mrs Babita Patil & Team got the second prize and Mrs Amruta & Team got the third prize. Winners received trophies from IIK and gift vouchers from the officials of Al Muzaini Exchange Company.

Mrs Jesny Shameer got the first prize where as Mr Vinod Kumar Chugh and Ms Noorin Malik got the second and third prize respectively in the delicious and creative Diwali Mithais competition at the ‘Moti Mahal Delux Restaurant Mithai Competition’. Sarita Sabharwal got the first prize where as Sampada Lele & Geetha Arumugam Suresh got the second and third prize respectively in the delicious and creative Diwali Namkeens competition at the ‘Moti Mahal Delux Restaurant Namkeen Competition’. Ms Prethi Diwam of Moti Mahal Delux Restaurant handed over the prizes to the winners.

Colorful and attractive Diwali Lanterns made by the students of various Indian schools were exhibited at the Mela. IIK had held an Inter School Lantern Competition and the winners were felicitated at the Mela. Kaashvi Subin, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan got the First Prize, Rehan Mehrin of Indian Public School got second prize and Helen Mariam Biju of Indian Educational School got third prize. Winners received trophies, medals , Certificates & prizes from IIK Bazaar. The lanterns were so creative and colorful that the judges chose 5 consolation prizes. The winners of the consolation prizes were Aarnav Sagar Savant of Indian Educational School, Avani Manoj of Indian Public School, Aayaat Amaan Pal of Indian Educational School, Tanbin Sultana of Integrated Indian School and Mohammed Azeem of Indian Public School.

Fancy dress competition below 7 and above 7 sponsored by High Sierra was another attraction at the Diwali Mela. The enthusiasm and zeal with which the children and their parents participated and performed was extremely commendable. Below 7 category Avinash Kannan got First Prize where as Advika Ram and Juan Maureen got second and third prize respectively. Above 7 category Aashna Ram got first prize where as Jatan Shah and Jessica Viona got second and third prize respectively. Winners received Trophies and Gifts from High Sierra. Mr Fadi Madi, Asst Brand Manager of High Sierra handed over the prizes to the winners.

Siddharth Mod & Hina Mod won the Best Dancing Couple at Dandya Dance Competition sponsored by American Tourister. Nilaxi Motaval got the Best Costume award , Vishal Patadia was selected as Best Dancing Boy and Hina Mod was selected as Best Dancing Girl. Winners received Trophies, Certificates and gifts from Mr Fadi Madi, American Tourister.

Platinum sponsor for the event is American Tourister. Al Muzaini Exchange is the Gold Sponsor. Kuwait Motoring Company, Jazeera Airways and High Sierra are Associate Sponsors. Event is organized by Lemonade International.

More than 7000 crowd gathered at the IIK Diwali Mela, which marked one of its kind celebration among the Indian community in Kuwait.
