Decrease in expats remittance from Kuwait last year

Kuwait witnessed a decrease in the value of remittance from expatriates during the year 2023. According to reports, the value of transfers abroad reach about 3.9 billion dinars, compared to 5.4 billion dinars in the previous year.

The Central Bank also stated that the net value of transactions related to services between residents and non-residents, including transportation, travel, communications, and construction services, recorded a deficit of 5.8 billion dinars last year, compared to a deficit of 5.1 billion dinars in the previous year.

every thing very expensive thanks to Sheikh Jaber that khaboos is still 50 fils and mushakkal 100 fils many places, if family is here half of the salary going in rent they should do something for the rents

Increase in inflation is one of the main reasons this directly affects purchase of goods and services, the cost of living has sharply risen in Kuwait since past year.
Increases in inflation increase the overall cost of living & if wages are not increasing to match the increase in the cost of goods and services this is what happens.
