TKK organised merry family get-together

The Tulu Koota Kuwait (TKK) family through the dedicated efforts of the committee members and active participation of the TKK members held a successful get-together on March 17 at the Mishref Garden. It was that eventually led to the success of the family picnic.

The event began with the Kuwait and Indian National Anthem sung by the TKK kids with live music which boosted the energy and enthusiasm of the all the participants and volunteers of the event.

Tulu Koota president Wilson D’Souza welcomed the gathering and inaugurated the event by treating the guests in the traditional custom of Tulunadu by distributing 'Ole Bella' (palm jiggery) and water. The sports secretary, Rajesh Poojary performed the customary breaking of the coconut for an auspicious beginning. The idea was conceptualized by Suresh Salian and was very well coordinated by the sports secretary. The president and the chief guest hoisted the Tulu Koota flag. TKK first lady Reshma D’Souza along with the TKK kids marched with a torch, which symbolized the spreading of 'the light of spirit, knowledge', followed by lighting of the flame by the president and the chief guest. The TKK kids added flavour to the event through a Zumba dance performance directed and coordinated by Shobha Harish Bhandary.
