Sachin: A man much more than 100 tons !

‘I have seen god, he bats at number 4 for India’ these are words said by legendary Autralian batsman Mathew Hayden for the little master. In a country like India, where the sport is given the importance of a religion, Sachin is considered to be the god or the almighty. Therefore it is not irrelevant to say that this man has been decreasing the number of atheists since 1989.

When a 16 year old boy named Sachin Tendulkar walked into the stadium in Pakistan in 1989, least did people think that this boy would grow up to become the greatest cricketer the world has ever seen or probably the greatest it would ever see. The little master is a holder of about 63 world records in the game of cricket, including the most notable 100 centuries that he has completed a few days back.

Apart from being the tremendous cricketer that he is, this man is an amazing human being, a wonderful family man and most importantly a source of inspiration for the millions of cricket buffs. The path that he travelled to become what he is today is considered to be a story, which is an epitome of inspiration and motivation. It is said that a person like sachin, who is a blend of professionalism and humility is very rare to find these days. As said by the man himself, when somebody has been playing cricket for a long time, he creates a separate identity for himself. And the identity that Sachin had created for himself is far beyond being a legend. He has created an identity that almost everybody wants to posses.

There have been days when sachin was criticized saying his term as a cricketer for India has come to an end, but every time the critics put forth their baseless words, this man gave them a very crisp answer with his bat. Every time a wrong impression of him was created, he let his bat do the talking and never did his bat let his fans down. Be it his historical double century against South Africa in 2010 or his 100th Century against Bangaldesh in 2012, all of them were enough and more to shut the mouths of those who feel the legends legacy is to be brought to an end. As Mr. Kapil Dev said ‘ You cant contain Sachin’s deeds in a statistical frame. He brings unstinted joy to the art of batting. Statistics will happen because cricket is about runs and wickets. To me, he symbolizes the heights an individual can rise to dominate a team sport. Words can never capture the beauty of Sachin’s cricket’

Therefore, it is a unanimously accepted fact that Sachin is a very big reason for India and Indians to feel proud. He has been serving India as a legendary cricketer for above 20 years now and it is not fair on our part to decide his continuity as a cricketer for India. As Sachin himself said ‘ Nobody decided for me when I should begin my cricketing career and so nobody decides for me as to when I should end it ‘. Hoping that the little master continues to inspire, motivate and flood his name with records and runs, here’s wishing him all the best for his career and life ahead. May his legacy continue to fuel the love for the game in our mind.

Tendulkar belongs to very good team he no need to work about his wicket and can score freely.

But Brian Lara alone WI team almost. So do not ever say sachin the best.

we can watch lara's batting even in testmatch a whole day but sachin oneday bating sometime boring.

So Lara stylish never be beaten by any one ever.

Sachine Consistancy veru very good.

Dear Sajid,

I totally agree with you,no doubt about the record details you have mentioned... but how many of them have ever crossed or even near to the record of "The Great Legend of cricket Bradman"...And you have to just think about one more thing, that day's game of cricket and whom he played againt the game and made those records.

You know how much the game of cricket is improved in these days by quality as well as by technologies that all one has to count against that records.

Anyway as you said about the Dravid party..that is one's personnel decesion we cannot comment on that.

The last thing in any game some senior players will be there for their moral support to lift the team / country image and to show the opponent...in this indian team the one and only senior player is Sachin thats all,

(Dhoni, Gambir & Sewag are all not in the list)all other ten & 4 or 5 standby is all young and erergetic players then what is the problem...Be cool,Ten is more then enough to win the game isinit....! Have a goog day dude.

29 tests means 58 innnings in 58 innings he scored 52 100s,and sachin around 400 innings and 51 hundres and stil we r calling its a record!!!!

silly...

i dont know y he is not retiering all the gr8 player get retierd the new blood, new player will come and play...but he is so greedy and selfish, thats y after ganguly dravid retirement he dont want to retire..

bhagwan ne sifr usko he pet dhiyaa khaane.aur kamaane..bhaaki kissi ko kuch nahin chaahiye..

so far kithne youngster ka life career khaarab kiya usne..aur aage khareega bhagwaan hi jaane...

Dear All,

Good article..!

People have differnent opinion and views as per their experiences about the cricket game played by the Great Batsman Mr. Sachin.

As an Indian am proud of his achivements /records what he holds in the game of cricket, but calling him GOD of cricket is toooo much. He is a simple & very humble person to all, not only in cricket and also in his personal life.

Please if you are not appreciating no problem but dont ...critise him.If you have played the game of criciket in your life you must know what is it...And how difficult is it to make such records, regardless of game won or lost?

Let him play for the country till he needs.

(max by the end of this year he may decide to quit the game of cricket when he get a good platform where he wants to finish this game of cricket in his own style, that's what he is looking to do).

Keep it up Vishnu good work.

u know THE GR8 BRADMAN he scored 52test hundreds in 29 test matches, and our cricket god gr8 sachin scored 51 100s in 190 test matces...
