No dates finalized for direct flight with India, Egypt - says DGCA

Directorate General for Civil Aviation DGCA, on Tuesday evening, announced that no dates have been set for the opening of direct flights with India, Egypt and other countries mentioned by the cabinet.

The Director of the Air Transport Department at DGCA, Abdullah Fadous Al-Rajhi, said in a press statement today, Tuesday, that what is being circulated through news platforms and social media about the dates for the starting of flights to Egypt and India is incorrect and it has not yet been authorized to allow any airlines to operate from these six countries.

He said that the DGCA is still in the stage of preparing plans to operate flights from these countries according to the available seat capacities. An official announcement for all passengers of the operating date will be made upon the completion of these plans, he said.
