Indian Central School organized Breast Cancer Awareness Program

Indian Central School commemorated the Breast Cancer Awareness initiative by dedicating October 31st as the Pink Day. Two thousand one hundred children participated for the Pink Ribbon formation and for the various awareness events that continued during this program. The whole school beginning from Kindergarten to grade XII was provided with various platforms of awareness initiatives which threw more light on how to fight Breast Cancer. The message was Prevention is better than Cure and on how bravely we can face it. This social responsibility event was initiated by the Principal for the past 9 years.

Dr. Ameer, Indian Doctors Forum who was the chief guest of the occasion spoke on various concepts and perspectives on how to tackle the life style disease Cancer. The school Supreme council President Sudarshan spoke on the contemporary impact of Breast Cancer and its Psychological impact. The event was blessed with the speech of the two teachers of ICS who had survived Cancer and their speech was motivating for all who took up the initiative to fight Breast Cancer.The school is grateful to all the media personnels who promoted the students initiative a note of gratitude to Mr. Habbibullah – Nilaavu Kuwait for supporting the event and continuing to promote this initiative with the parents of this school.

The noble initiative of Dr. Shantha Maria James, Principal of Indian Central School is highly appreciated and inspiring for the future generation who has accepted to fight Breast cancer.
