Centre rejects Kerala’s request for TrueNat test for returning NRIs

The central government informed that conducting TrueNat test for COVID-19, on NRIs returning to India is not practical. Center had informed this in response to Kerala's request for conducting TrueNat test for COVID-19, on Keralites returning to the state from Gulf countries.

MEA said that it had consulted with the Indian Embassies in various countries and decided against conducting the test. Gulf countries have informed that TrueNat tests are not practical and will not be approved.

Kerala government had decided to make COVID tests mandatory for returning expats. It demanded the central government to allow only those expats who test negative during the TrueNat rapid tests to board evacuation flights. The facility for the testing has to be arranged by concerned embassies at the airports.

Mr. Modi is thinking politically and not of Keralites NRI.
So next election, BJP can be elected in the State of Kerala.
Politics is for self goal and not citizens.

Yes good decision by Center..Mallus think of only themselves very selfish..they try and employ only their people l creating divide among countrymen like this even talented qualified experienced worker is replaced by malyalee boss for the one who does not posses this attributes and again Gulf labor force comprises of cheap labor as mallus grab any position for lowest salary compared to other states even if employer affords to pay which brings down our country standard. so please stop this nonsenseand accept socially all states employees to get deserved positions otherwise God will drain all your wealth.

It''s absolutely necessary to conduct test prior to boarding flight. If TruNat is not viable , one could go for Rapid antibody test. Please do not politicise such requirements. I arrived from Sharjah and UAE government is providing antibody test free of cost prior check in .

The only state in the country with a plan. I guess that upsets everyone. Covid testing can be done on pooled samples. Thus we can stop importing the disease.

Is COVID 19 test mandatory for those expats going to Kerala, especially those traveling through chartered flights. As the CM of Kerala has demanded this test to be done before boarding the flight and said in today’s evening State news conference , in spite of being rejected by Central Government of India. Kindly confirm on the exact news and if a test is required where should we do the test. Thanks

Hope Gulf Mallus will understand, Central govt. is not against them. Gulf mallus should stop only promoting only Malayalis in work place.. Mix up with other States people, Do not talk in Malayalam with strangers if you don''t know they are from which state of India.
