The month of April besides its reputation as the gateway to spring is also known for madness, this madness was the 6th IBA Basketball Tournament 2018 for the ‘SULAIMAN KALANDAR AL KANDHERI (Founder Sponsor of United Indian School) MEMORIAL EVER ROLLING TROPHY FOR CHAMPION SCHOOL, Instituted by Mr. THOMAS CHANDY, Chairman United Indian School, Kuwait’ conducted by the Indian Basketball Association in the rejuvenated and blessed basketball court of United International Indian School from the 12th -April-20th April tentatively for the school students and the open tournament for the Men/Women categories. The Opening Ceremony was blessed and graced with the presence of Mr. Thomas Chandy Chairman of United Indian School along with an array of dignitaries ,Adv.John Thomas Admin Manager United Indian School, Mr Pradeep Kumar Managing Director Precon Engineering Company, Mr C V Sunny Head Coach Indian Senior National Team, Mr Ajith Kumar beloved Principal United Indian School ,Mr Cherian Thomas Principal United Indian School, Mr Joseph Thomas Vice Principal United Indian School, Dr Shinoj presence sparked up the participants to take up the sportive challenges and play like warriors in the court scurrying to put their baskets, declaring the tournament open. The tournament was conducted for eight long days; each day witnessed an array of spectacular matches for the school under 10,12,14,16 & 19 categories respectively. The Open Men & Women category matches were wholeheartedly applauded by the onlookers and vibrant cheerleaders whose hoots & howls reverberated the court. The strong and unstinting medical assistance provided by the METRO MEDICAL CARE 24x7 was worth commendable.IBA fraternity takes immense pride and pleasure to express our heartfelt gratitude to IBA’s medical partner Metro Medical Care for being with us all through this journey with their care, concern and cure.

The closing ceremony was graced with the presence of an array of eminent personalities Mr. Joel Jacob, Admin In charge Oceanic Trading Company, Mrs Tessy Joel Vice Chairperson United Indian School, Mr. Faisal Hamsa Business Development Manager Metro Medical Care, Mr. Pradeep Managing Director Precon Engineering Company, Mrs Sreeja Pradeep Manager Partner Precon Engineering Company, Mr C .V Sunny Head Coach Indian National Team, ,Mr Ajith Kumar Principal United Indian School, Mr Saji John Finance Controller United Indian School, Miss Divya Susan Director Nexis International, followed by the most treasured moment for the IBA fraternity the release of their maiden edition of ‘TRIFECTA’ magazine the one of its kind. The prize distribution ceremony was the added attraction of the day where the winners were acknowledged for their accomplishments. The 8 day long journey created a great impact on the crowd and left them rejuvenated and energised all through infecting each and everyone with the contagious fever of Basketball.

Mr. D K Dileep General Secretary, IBA welcomed everyone showcasing the myriad activities and the vision and mission of IBA Association where basketball and only basketball takes on the lead, during the closing ceremony.
