Illuminating Pathways: IES Parent Orientation for grades 10 & 12

Bhavans Indian Educational School in Kuwait orchestrated insightful orientation programs for the students and their parents of grades 10 and 12 on the 2nd of March 2023 at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., respectively, in the school auditorium. This strategic initiative was meticulously timed before the commencement of the upcoming academic year. The distinguished Senior Leadership Team comprised Mr. N.K. Ramachandran Menon, the Chairman of Bhavans Middle East, Mr. Anand Victor, the Principal, Senior Vice Principal Bhavans Kuwait, Ms Anselma Tessy Judson, Academic Coordinator Bhavans Kuwait, Mr Santhosh Varghese Chungath, and the Vice-Principals, Ms. Meenakshi Nayyar and Mr. Binoy Mathew, Headmistress, Ms Muneera Mammikutty and Head of the Department of Mathematics Bhavans Kuwait, Ms Beena Krishnan graced the session with their presence. The session was aimed to guide the parent and student community on the expectations and guidelines to prepare the students for the academic challenges ahead.

Ms. Meenakshi Nayyar extended a warm welcome to the esteemed gathering, setting a tone of inclusivity and camaraderie for the proceedings ahead. In his opening address, Mr. Anand Victor, the principal of IES, conveyed the school's dedication to fostering a conducive learning environment, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the management, teachers, students, and parents. He introduced the class teachers and subject teachers for each class, underlining the cohesive teamwork essential for student success. He articulated the school's policies and initiatives aimed at nurturing academic excellence and holistic development among students.

Mr Victor underscored the pivotal role of discipline in achieving academic success, expressing the school's unwavering commitment to instilling and upholding discipline standards. He reiterated the school's stance against any form of bullying, emphasizing the need for respect, integrity, and adherence to the established code of conduct. Moreover, he called upon parents to actively participate in the school's strategic endeavours, fostering a supportive and nurturing atmosphere conducive to students' exceptional achievements. He emphasized the significance of mutual respect between students and teachers, adherence to uniform standards, and integrity during examinations. He also expressed his optimism for a successful academic year ahead, envisioning a journey marked by growth, learning, and collective achievements. His words resonated with a sense of shared purpose and commitment, inspiring all stakeholders to strive for excellence and uphold the values of the institution. He also wished that the voyage of the current academic year be a smooth sailing one.

Mr. N.K Ramachandran Menon, the chairman in his address to the students and parents, reiterated the importance of developing a rigorous study culture. He appealed to students to cherish and recognize the invaluable support and resources bestowed upon them by their parents. He elucidated that parent, in return, only want their children to excel in their careers and lives. The Chairman highlighted the profound significance of parental blessings, acknowledging them as the most treasured assets in one's journey. Additionally, he encouraged students to cultivate an open line of communication with their teachers, assuring them that seeking clarification and clearing doubts at any time would be warmly welcomed and highly encouraged.

After the presentation, a dynamic question-and-answer session ensued, fostering a vibrant and constructive interaction between the parents and the esteemed teaching fraternity. The stakeholders, appreciative of the proactive approach and the opportunity to engage, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the organization for such a meaningful and insightful session.
