65 low-income Indians who died of Covid in Kuwait to receive 1 lakh rupee

As announced earlier by the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Shir Sibi George, the first batch of compensation of rupees 1 lakh to the kith and kin of those low-income Indians who died of Covid-19 in Kuwait was delivered today on the occasion of 75th Independence day of India.

65 Indian nationals who were died of Covid-19 in Kuwait and was working with a low income of less than 120 KD salary will receive the compensation amount today.

Earlier Indian Ambassador Shri Sibi George had announced that the Indian Community Support group (ICSG), set up by the Indian Embassy for providing relief to the Community during a hard time of the Covid-19 pandemic, will donate 1 lakh rupee to those low-income Indians who died of Covid-19 in Kuwait.

"We had set up a task force of three senior officials from the Embassy to scrutiny the process and to find the deserving candidate," Ambassador said. "Our aim is the find the deserving candidates and sends them the money at the earliest, rather than delaying it with all the red tapes," he said. "I know 1 lakh is not a big amount for the family, but I hope this will be of some relief to their immediate kith and kin," Ambassador Sibi George said on the sidelines of the Independence day celebration at the Embassy.

This really shows that our Ambassador Shri Sibi George really cares for the Indian community in Kuwait.

In today''s world nobody cares for the poor.. May God bless Mr. George and those involved in this kind gesture.

Also those who are affluent can contribute towards this, since we can visible see the beneficiary benefiting from this.

Appreciated, since the number of diseased are only 65, the amount could be increased to 2 Lakh each.
Anyway better than nothing.
