We see several advertisements every day in Tv’s where different models and actors present various products in an astounding way. Naturally, we can’t jump off of the temptation by purchasing the product in a store and would be impatient and inquisitive to use the particular product. And we buy the product to relish our happiness and satisfy our needs.
We do explore to find many ways to look charming, impressive or to show off things to our friends but sadly, most of us are unable to explore the darker shadow of advertisements. Yes, advertisements introduce us to various products and enhance our knowledge about the products but it can also mislead us and add more colours to our imagination and the misunderstanding of the product making us fascinate about an unrealistic future by looking conspicuously at the impressive products in the silver screen. Advertising companies struggle to make their product the number one by creating a suitable name for their product, by casting models, showing the appealing features of the product and trying to create a stream of rays to keep the audiences' eyes on their product. By selling the product, they don’t make the others happier and excited, but gets happier and impressed by the growth of the great exponential growth in the profit margin. Advertisements can have a shocking impact over kids and teenagers. By seeing the visually- appealing images of fruit jams, juices and junk food, the innocence of the little buds doesn’t even give them a chance to realise the harsh effects of the product over them but only makes them whine and crave for it. Nowadays teenagers are obsessed with beauty and charisma that they don’t even realise the cunning mouse trap they are made to tumble over in future, resulting in health problems like eczema, dermatitis etc. They are also captivated by the different food items that they forget to include a balanced diet consisting of nutrients like vitamins and minerals, proteins etc. and this eventually leads to their doomed fate of experiencing obesity, orthorexia etc. Teenagers expect a handsome output from the product they are captivated on and when they fail to see these results, it results in arrogance, might pave their path to smoking and alcohol consumption and in severe cases, suicide.
It's disappointing to see this horrifying reality of the advertisements and the colors they add to attract the innocent faces but as an educated citizen, one should stay vigilant and buy the truly useful products for everyday use and should make sure that the product they use don’t lead them to allergies, diseases and other complications.
Thank you.
