The Criminal Court has sentenced four people including a citizen, a government official and a mediator to five years in jail and fine of KD 4,000 for accepting a bribe of KD 2,000 to approve 10 residency permits.
The court also acquitted three expatriates of purchasing residency permits. The detectives arrested the accused through an entrapment.
According to report, the businessman earned 25,000 dinars from trading in residence permits.
