Against Discrimination

“Hey! My name is Shameless Follower and this is Misogynist, Anti-Trans, Racist, Stereotypical, Homophobic, Sexist, Body-Shamer, Unrealistic Beauty Standardizer, you could also call them in short, Society! Today we’ll be looking at some exclusive… LIVE! Footage of a case between… Society vs. Victim in the court of Injustice! Let’s go!

Order! Order! Order! Right so… Mr. Society, please complete your argument against Victim here.

This… DISGUSTING CREATURE RIGHT HERE IS-…

ORDER! ORDER! ORDER! I said your statement, not childishscreaming. Please maintain decency in the court of Injustice for we shall not permit anything else.

I’m sorry, your… The Onlooker. Right so my argument against little Victim, here is… they talk, they walk, they dress in such… disgusting clothes, they’re so fat, they’re so ugly, they have no muscles and CRY?!! They have nauseating skin color you black face, they LIKE THE OPPOSITE GENDER?! THEY DON’T EVEN HAVE A GENDER!!!

The crowd roars with claps and grunts of agreement, only a few let out shouts of denial, but subdued by the rest.

ORDER! ORDER! ORDER! Victim, what would you like to say in your defense?

Wiping a tear off their face, a broad and strong smile spreads across Victim’s face like a gleaming star, shining fiercely in the dark night.

In this solemn court of Injustice, in front of the Shameless Followers and the respectful your honour, The Onlooker, I, Victim, would like to ask you all a question. Is talking, to express my desperate need of water to quench my deadly thirst, wrong? If yes, I am truly sorry for being born this way. Is wearing clothes of what makes me feel confident and happy… disgraceful? If yes, I am truly sorry for being born this way. Is black, the color of the holy night skies and even of the clothes many of us in this room are currently wearing, an unholy color? If yes, I am truly sorry for being born this way. Are only strong muscles, thick beards and relentless strength that define a man? If yes, I m truly sorry for being born that way. Are, girls going out at night, and growing friendships with another person who happens to be a male, a crime? If yes I am truly sorry. IS BEING A HUMAN BEING A SIN?! If yes… I AM SORRY FOR BEING BORN A HUMAN.

Tears flooded down their cheeks but a roaring fire wiped them away, a fire of strength and utter beauty.

The crowd was dead silent. Like as if disease swept over, claiming every soul in its path.

Alright. Any more arguments, opposition?

N- No your… honor.

Okay. The court is ready to pass its judgment. Victim, that was wonderful but…

A sigh of… undisputed fear was let go, painful fear, a fear that stung him in the heart. He knew this was wrong but…

This court pronounces a lifetime sentence of subdual and silent torture to the Victim. Order… Order… Order.

The silence wasn’t dead or living… yet, it preferred to be dead, be blind to it, knowing it, Won’t. Ever. Stop.

Used to good endings? Well sadly that ain’t always the case. Just why? Discrimination just because of difference? Why can’t we let acceptance exist in this horrible messed up world of ours? Acceptance doesn’t have to be unimaginable. We all bleed the same color. We all need food and water to survive. We are all humans.

When we make two animals of the same species meet, we expect them to instantly connect. Why not the same for humans? We’re also animals, we’re the same species.

I don’t know to how many people this will reach, or to how many people this message instilled even the slightest bit of mere sympathy.

We all are humans. We all deserve love and affection. Don’t discriminate someone just because they’re different. Just because they have darker skin color, are girls, are transgender, are homosexual, wear different clothes or have a different body type.

#WeAllAreHumans

#StopDiscrimination

Together we stand against discrimination.

Let us be different.

Nice read....Hard hitting.....if I may say, not that im any good at writing, but try to avoid repeating phrases..(for instance "we are all humans" - it tends to take away the force of the argument), just an observation...very good flow of ideas and narration..
