NRI loans are available for a maximum term of 15 / 20 years with disbursement facility in Indian Rupees in India and repayments in India. Under the New Scheme LIC Housing Finance offer up to 6 EMI waivers to NRIs investing in Ready to Move property back in India. Moreover, if the NRI applicant is willing to invest in under construction property, the Company is offering principal repayment holiday up to 48 months or till possession whichever is earlier. The offer helps ease the burden of heavy EMI. Under its “Pay When You Stay” scheme, the borrower gets to commence payment of EMI on home loans availed after 48 months or till possession is given by builder. Only interest payment on the disbursed amount needs to be paid during the period. Whereas, for the benefit of purchasers of ready to move in unit, the Company has offered to waive up to 6 EMIs during the loan tenure. The waiver will be 2 EMIs each at the end of 3rd, 6th and 10th years provided the borrower is regular in repayments and makes no pre-payment for the interim years. It is a limited period offer till 31st December 2020.
