KMWA Conducts online International Kannada Rajyotsava, Karnataka state formation day

Karnataka Muslim Welfare Association (KMWA), a subsidiary of Indian Muslim Association (IMA), conducted Karnataka Rajyotsava, Karnataka state formation day. People from various religious and cultural backgrounds from India, Gulf countries and some other parts of the world participated in this unique event.

Ibrahim Sutar, a padmashree awardee, known as saint Kabir of Karnataka while speaking on the occasion as chief guest from India on the topic ‘our responsibilities towards Karnataka state, Kannada language, peaceful coexistence and development’, he profoundly quoted various scriptures and famous kannada writers and enthralled the audience with his valuable thoughts. He also entertained questions raised by the audience on the subject.

Many prominent NRIs and heads of Associations of Karnataka from Kuwait and Gulf countries participated as guests and gave their brief felicitation address. Ramesh Bhandari – President, Tulu Koota Kuwait, Rajesh Vittal – President, Kuwait Kannada Koota, Michael Pinto – Vice President, KCWA Kuwait, Ganesh Rai – Ex President, Karnataka Sangha, Sharjah UAE,. Shashidhar Hebbal - President, Global Basava Peace Organisation and founder of Uttara Kannada balaga, Qatar, Mr. Santosh Shetty – President, KNRI, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia were some of the guest speakers.

Karnataka Muslim Welfare Association (KMWA), organizes several such programs annually to promote peace and harmony among the fellow citizens of Karnataka State.

Vice President of IMA, B. S Sharafuddin kept the audience engaged with his unique convenorship during the program. Vote of thanks was given by KMWA President Abdul Naser Khan. The program commenced by the recitation of few verses of Qur’an by Master Nisar Fahimuddin followed by Kannada translation. Participants expressed their happiness and gratitude for providing such unique opportunity particularly in Kannada language.
