Medical test for Kuwait - Indian Police registered case against Khadamat Integrated Solutions

The Mumbai police on Thursday registered a case against Khadamat Integrated Solutions Pvt Ltd following complaints that the agency was charging huge amounts for medical screening of the nurses selected by the Kuwait Ministry of Health (MoH).

According to reports in Indian media, Mumbai police conducted a raid at the agency’s office in Mumbai.

“It was following the complaint lodged by nurses selected for Kuwait MoH that the raid was conducted by the Mumbai police. The allegation was that the agency was charging IRs 23,000 for the medical screening in place of Rupees 3,000,” Indian Express daily reported quoting a police official. The officials of the agency maintained that it was due to the new medical screening process that the charges have been increased.

According to them, earlier the nurses, after undergoing medical screening in India had to undergo another test while arriving at Kuwait, which was very expensive.

Meanwhile, Khadamat Integrated Solutions Pvt. Ltd, claimed that they are authorized by the Kuwait government to carry out medical fitness test in the wake of growing drug resistant TB cases. The agency clarified that they they are charging Rs 24,000 as there are many expensive test including bio-metric. The agency says Rs 3000 is paid to the government. They said they are ready to start their agency again in Kerala and are ready for discussion with the state government.

The Kochi City Police had also registered a case against the same agency for extracting high charges from employees going to Kuwait for job visa for the medical test last month. Following this the agency decided to stop its operation in Kochi. Since then nurses were depending on centres of the agency in Chennai and Mumbai for

medical screening.
