International Yoga Day Celebration @ Gurukul gets overwhelming response from Yoga enthusiasts from all over Kuwait.

Theme of this year Yoga Day was “Prevention is better than Cure “

Speaking on the occasion, the Benefits of Yoga by Dr. Akhila Vinod (Doctor in Naturopathy & Yogic Science) said, I teach people how to live a positive and Healthy life through the practices of Yoga. Because we live in a world where non-communicable diseases, stress and lifestyle-related ailments are rising, yoga can play a central role in mitigating these diseases to create a healthy mind and body.

Session included a Talk on Benefits and Myths of Yoga, followed by a Documentary, Yoga Demonstration, Meditation & Deep Relaxation Technique.

One of the Yoga students of Gurukul quoted during the event: Yoga helped me increase my body awareness, reduce muscle tension, strain, inflammation, relieve stress, sharpened my attention and concentration and eventually calmed my entire system.
