Kuwait municipality prepare a new draft regulation of public cleanliness and waste transport, which was referred to the Council’s Legal and Financial Committee. The new draft includes strict actions on public cleanliness including imposing a fine of up to 500 dinars on anyone who hangs clothes or any other things such a way that it overlooks on the streets.
The draft also prohibited barbecue on sidewalks, streets, squares, public areas, public parks, waterfronts, and state-owned lands, provided that the it is specifically mentioned where barbecue is allowed. Whoever violates this order shall be punished with a fine of no less than Over 2000 dinars and not more than 5,000 dinars.
The draft also prohibits cleaning carpets and upholstery from overlooking the streets.
It prohibits the owners of neglected and damaged vehicles, marine boats, homes and mobile prefabricated chalets, from leaving them in the streets, on sidewalks, and in squares and public squares.
