Transport company drivers residency will not be renewed unless they upgrade old-model vehicles

The Labor Department in Public Authority for Manpower declared that the residencies of drivers registered under transportation companies will not be renewed if they drive small vehicles of models earlier than 2011, reported Arab Times daily citing Al-Seyassah Arabic newspaper.

According to report, this move is aimed to control drivers in transportation companies. The residencies of drivers of heavy vehicles and machinery will not affected by this decision, daily added.
