Teacher “A Nation Builder”

Teacher “A Nation Builder”

The day we all came into existence, the day we were born, held in our parent’s arms, cuddling us and loving us from the depth of their heart. Since then, they have given us everything we ever needed and even those things which we had never asked for. I mean what is a bigger blessing than our family including our loving Mom and Dad along with our siblings with whom you enjoy so much and spend time with. There are so many beautiful memories of us with our family when we were in our childhood but as you know, childhood doesn’t last forever. After about 5-6 years of our beautiful and enjoyable life, the next and the most important step in our life are school days. Our parents are not always there to help us like sometimes in deciding a career or making an important decision in life instead there are other important people in our life, in fact they are as important as our family. Yes, you guessed it right; they are our inspiration, life-changers and our role models, ‘Our Teachers’. They are the ones who influence the life of a student or a person. A teacher’s role is the most significant role in the development or building of a nation. They are our second parents and is there for us whenever we need them. But they often don’t get the credit or appreciation they deserve even though it is them who have made the world a better place for all of us.

Believe it or not, during this pandemic we are spending more time with our teachers and classmates than our own family. A teacher’s role in the development of a nation is massive and no other personality can have an influence more profound than that of a teacher. Students are deeply affected by the teacher's love and affection, their character, their competence, and their moral commitment.

“If a country is to be corruption free and become a nation of beautiful minds, I strongly feel there are three key societal members who can make a difference. They are the father, the mother and the teacher.” – A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

This is absolutely true what A.P.J Abdul Kalam quoted. There are mainly three people in a society that can actually make a difference, our parents and our teachers. A popular teacher becomes a model for his students. Their role in this situation is not ignorable at all. It is them who influence and change the immature minds of the youth. In olden times, teachers were considered as an important aspect in the society. They are our real guides and are also the backbone of our society. We should all respect our teachers. If we don’t respect our own teachers, there are no way we can expect ourselves to be successful in life? They help in changing the nation with the help of their knowledge, moral and social values. Teaching is not just a profession; it is a very big responsibility. They take up this responsibility not only for the students but for the betterment of the nation.

In India, September 5 is celebrated as Teachers' Day to honor teachers for their contributions in shaping the life of students as well as the nation. September 5 is also the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna recipient Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was the first Vice President and second President of India post-Independence. Students all over India celebrate teacher’s day by giving gifts to their teachers, by organizing functions for them, writing cards for them, encouraging them that they are the best teachers and many more things you can do to make your teacher happy.

“A good teacher is like a candle; it consumes itself to light up the way for others”.

The above quote which was composed by Mustafa Kemal is a 100% true that tells us that a teacher always put in their maximum efforts for the benefit of their students and for a bright and successful future.

I would like to say that without teacher’s life has no class. It is them who mold the society to give them a definite shape and a better understanding.

I appreciate the dedication shown by teachers for their efforts and salute them from the depth of my heart.

Dear Teachers, I would like to show you with this note just how much I appreciate you. You help me shape my future; you inspire me every day with your lessons and knowledge.

Happy Teacher's Day!
