TEF – 2017 Conducted 1ST Technical Seminar

TEF – 2017 conducted its 1st technical seminar as a full day program on 27th Jan 2017 @ Fintas Community Hall, Kuwait.

The events started with ‘THAMIZH THAI VAZHTHU’, WELCOME ADDRESS & KURALODHAL (Recite of Thirukkural)

TEF-2017 President, Mr. G. Muthukumar addressed the members of Fraternity, which covered the Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies of TEF 2017.

Morning session had parallel events one a technical seminar “Fundamentals of Natural Gas Processing” for the members and the other “Healthy baking, Special Cuisine & Vegetable Carving” for spouse and aged kids.

Technical Seminar on “Fundamentals of Natural Gas Processing” was handled by Mr. K. Sabapathi, Senior Specialist, KNPC in an exceptional way. The tutor had made the session interesting, interactive and beneficial. The program had enriched the knowledge of the member engineers.

The parallel morning session is for the spouses on “Healthy Baking” and Special Cuisine & vegetable carving, which were handled by Mrs. Janani Sriram, a TEF member and Mrs. Haritha, respectively. Both the events were interesting and informative to all the participants. Participants expressed their inquisitiveness to learn healthy baking, special cuisine & vegetable carving.

The evening program was a mesmerizing one, which was handled by one of the most famous Doctors in Siddha medicine, writer, orator & a social activist Dr. G. Sivaraman from India, on “Our wellness is Country’s Wellness”. Dr. Sivaraman shared his vast knowledge & experience in the field of “UNAVE MARUNTHU” (FOOD AS MEDICINE) and explained about the importance of various traditional foods and Functional foods, which can keep us healthy and fit. He stressed the importance of breakfast and advised the participants to avoid white food materials like Maitha, white sugar, polished rice, etc. He indicated that the whiteness is brought by refining with the use of chemicals which are highly carcinogenic. He had also enriched the participants on the importance of peanuts, fruits and other traditional foods which are considered as poor people food but highly rich in vitamins. He advised ladies not to use cosmetics, which contains lot of chemicals which are carcinogenic.

The event ended with an interesting Question & Answer session and vote of Thanks by the Joint Secretary Mr. Venkat, followed by a Delicious Dinner which was made of traditional foods, as per the concept of “UNAVE MARUNTHU” (FOOD AS MEDICINE).
