Under the Patronage of Ministry of Electricity & Water, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, KNPC & EQUATE, Tamilnadu Engineers Forum (TEF) Kuwait, the one & only ISO certified voluntary Engineers Forum in MENA region organized the Kuwait’s 2nd Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA) on 4th November 2018 from 8.15 AM to 9.00 AM at Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait.
His Excellency Engr. Adel Musaed Al-Jarallah Al-Kharafi, Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs, Mr. Raj Gopal Singh, Deputy Chief of Indian Mission and Dr. Ramesh Ramachandran, President & CEO of EQUATE graced Kuwait’s 2nd Engineering Excellence Awards ceremony and distributed the awards to the winners.
His Excellency Engr. Adel Musaed Al-Jarallah Al-Kharafi, Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs, appreciated the efforts of TEF in conducting Technological Conferences and recognizing Engineers with Excellence Award, which will help to bring out inherent capabilities of Engineers in Kuwait.
Participants from various Industries, Institutions, Organizations and Individuals from all over the Country submitted their nominations for the Coveted EEA awards.
TEAM GOLD AWARD winners under different category: MEW, KOC R&D, KOC R&T – IM TEAM, KOC HSE – D&T TEAM, KOC GAS OPNS S&EK TEAM, NAPESCO, NBTC, SIEMENS, GULF SPIC and KMMC. TEAM SILVER AWARD winners under different category: BADER AL MULLA, NAPESCO & NBTC
“Young Engineer of the Year” Award (Female) was received by Engr. Mariam Al-Shatti, Process Engineer, KNPC
“Young Engineer of the Year” Award (Male) was received by Engr. Abdulrahman Al-Mousawi, Process Engineer, KNPC
Engr. A.N.Natarajan, Founder President of TEF was recognized with TEF Veteran award for his contribution towards the growth of TEF.
The prestigious “Engineering Professional of the Year” Award was given to Engr. Mubarak Al-Mutairi, Manager Technical Services, MAB Refinery – KNPC for his proactive action & professional approach that has resulted in significant improvement in the performances of multiple units and resulted to huge cost savings to the company. In addition, his professional decision for diversifying ARDS Catalyst from proprietary supplier to other competent catalyst vendors after conducting necessary pilot plant tests, has improved the unit performance with huge savings.
The highlight of the award ceremony was the declaration of the most prestigious award “Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Engineering Stewardship (Accomplished Leader) in Kuwait” and the recipient was Engr. Nadia Bader Al-Hajji, Deputy Chief Executive Officer – Petrochemicals & LNG – KIPIC. She was recognized for the leadership, vision & major contributions to Oil & Gas Industry in Kuwait. She played a key role in making Kuwait, the world’s largest hub for ARDS capacity & home to world’s largest DHT Reactors to produce Clean Fuels and meet international standards on fuel quality. Engr. Nadia currently leads KIPIC’s mega projects which will transform Kuwait Downstream into the most modern tightly integrated industry that includes World class Petrochemicals complex, World’s largest grassroots LNG Import terminal and Al-Zour Refinery second stage conversion.
