The General Traffic Department at the Ministry of Interior is intending to make the renewal of vehicle registration book via online and to issue a smart card instead of the 'Daftar' in the near future, Al Rai Arabic newspaper reported.
The daily also reported that the traffic department had delivered more than 10,000 driving licenses within two weeks out of the 30,000 plus applications for renewal of the license made through its online service.
