SMCA Announces Merit Hunt 2020

Syro Malabar Cultural Association Kuwait, as part of its Silver Jubilee celebrations, announces an online talent search examination, named Merit Hunt 2020, for the students of Indian schools in Kuwait. Examination is scheduled for Friday, 14th August 2020 at 4 PM to 4.30 PM. This exam shall give an opportunity to the Indian School Students in Kuwait to know the standard of curriculum in India and shall enable them to polish themselves for a better future.

The Merit Hunt shall be conducted for three age groups, namely category 1 (Std 5 to 7), category 2 (Std 8 to 10) and category 3 (11th and 12th). Participants have to answer 40 multiple choice questions within 30 minutes. Questions shall be prepared by experts from India, based on the CBSE syllabus for English, Mathematics, Science and social studies for 50% of the marks. Balance marks shall be divided equally between general knowledge & current affairs (25%) and logical reasoning & mental ability expect from the respective age groups (25%).

Participants shall register their names and details online in advance by filling the prescribed online application form at the registration Link: https://forms.gle/PvTNQYwn5YrmEupS7 No registration fee is associated. Registration shall close at 12 Noon, on 10th August. The participation certificate with grades shall be available for downloading and printing at the completion of the exam. All those score 90% and above in the exam shall be awarded MERIIT EXCELLENCE Certificate. The top ten students in each age group shall be awarded with “HONOURS OF MERIT HUNT“. Those who win ‘Honours of merit Hunt’ shall be invited to attend an online interview conducted by educationalists and human resource experts to qualify for the “STAR HONOUR OF MERRIT HUNT 2020” which includes a cash award, certification and plaque to be distributed in the valedictory function of SMCA silver Jubilee.
