Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Residence Affairs Major General Talal Marafi said that considering the current situation and with the directives of His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anas Khaled Al-Saleh, steps are being taken to renew the residency for those who are outside the country due to the current situation.

Sponsors or company Mandoub of expatriate employee should take a work permit from the Public Authority of Manpower and then renew the residency at MoI's Immigration Department. Employers could do this measures even while their employees were out of the country, but their passports should be valid.

It is also possible to renew the residence of a domestic worker, Article (20) if they are outside the country, where the sponsor have to go to the residence affairs department to complete the transaction according to the terms and conditions.

It has been decided to renew the residence permit for those family members who are outside the country, provided that the passport is valid. If the head of family is outside the State of Kuwait his wife and children will be granted temporary residence in accordance with the established rules and conditions. For those whose family is outside, the head of the family should go to the residence affairs department in his area to renew the residence of his family.

It has been decided to extend all visit visa for a period of two months, and to extend the leave of absence for a period of three months, which can be renewed according to the current circumstances.

The above rules are applied to all from the countries India, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Iran, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Thailand, Italy, South Korea, Japan,and Singapore.
