Please everybody instead of fighting each other bear in mind that our passport is one & belongs to country called "India" and we all are Indians. We don''t know what is going in India. Possible some Custom Officers in India maybe involved with passengers to do this type of activities to get promotions and name, after that immediately they will be released with no criminal record in India. After few days you will see the two arrested passengers are working in Kuwait in their respective companies and arrested custom officers are promoted to high rank officers.

There is no unity in India and that''s why there is no strong law. people wont allow only to make any strong law. there is no dirty politics, but people. Everyone wants money in short time and no one wants to work hard. It doesn''t matter they are from which country/state/religion.

@liyaqat Kala why are you so bothered about what others do , we are Indians don''t forget that , Criminals are not born from Birth in one particular state or place and what if you are from same state and some of them are Involved in crimes so will you say all are criminals , many are working here very hard in Kuwait to take care of their families back home , not just people from Kerala , we all work together to make a better society , few people get into crimes and they spoil their life they can be from anywhere , any part of India , don''t point your fingers on Delhi , UP , bihar , cuddapah and Haryana they are criminals everywhere , don''t speak like a kid .

"The passengers are identified as Deshmukh and Ahmad Sheikh..."
If I am not mistaken Deshmukh is from Maharashtra. The other is anyone''s guess so Kadappa is ok.

@Bajrangi Bhai: "..Delhi, UP , Bihar, Haryana , Kadappa, Gujrat are infested with criminals & thugs."

You mean complete India? You forgot to mention southies like mallu, anna, etc.. If I had to guess, your are mallu or ghati trying to immitate Sallu bhai.

I don’t understand as to why everyone here has the idea that only people from UP, Bihar smuggle things and that Keralites are god level humans.

Anyone can be a criminal and it has nothing to do with specific states or religion. Also why would non-Mallus try to go through an airport in Kerala and not their state of they have the plan of smuggling?

So it would be better to let go of these misconceptions.

They may transit passengers travelled through Kuwait. Otherwise, no benefit in buying gold from Kuwait and smuggling to India.
