250 KD fee for renewal of 60+ residency

The Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Manpower PAM approved a fee of 250 dinars to renew work permits for those who have reached the age of 60 without University degree, Arabic media Al Anba reported.

Sources also indicated that three categories of people including Children of Kuwaiti women, Those who born in Kuwait, and holders of Palestinian nationality are excluded from the fee.

However, the fee for private health insurance is not specified and it is made according to the offer by the insurance companies.

Earlier several proposals, including fee of 500 KD and fee of 1000 KD for an year, were discussed by the authorities for the renewal of residency for expatriates above 60.

It is such a great relief for the 60+ workers. Hats off to the decision. This will bring happiness to many old people who really was looking forward for such a decision to come into effect. Once again thumbs up for such a kind gesture.
