MoE issue circular to reduce tuition fee by 25%

The Kuwait Minister of Education and the Minister of Higher Education, Dr Saud Al-Harbi, issued a ministerial decision to reorganize the tuition fees for the academic year 2021/2020 by reducing 25% of the tuition fees from the beginning of the academic year 2021/20 until when the students are allowed to return to school.

Dr Saud Al-Harbi stressed the need for private schools of all educational systems to activate online education platforms that include virtual classes and all other learning resources from the beginning of the academic year 2021/2020. The online classes will continue until students are allowed to return to the schools.

Al-Harbi indicated that all provisions of Ministerial Resolution No. 10 of 2018 regarding the suspension of increasing tuition fees for private schools in all their educational systems remain in effect for the period from the date students are allowed to return to schools until the end of the academic year 2021/2020.

There was a decision by MOE that first term fee is exempted. Is this in practice now?

Anyone had the experience?

Another BIG and mercyless looting is unlicenced private tuition. Most of the school teachers are doing this business without any ethics exploiting helpless parents, out of their greed on money. One hour or so tuition for 4 days or so, for each subject, most of them are charging 25KD.
Now they are so lucky that they can enroll almost countless number of poor helpless students from any part of the world without any expense or usage of their facilities(homes) conducting free version of zoom meeting. No haris brive or as such.

Even then their greed for money has not reduced nor have any gut feeling.

Very few private teachers reduced their fee to half or so....in Abbassiya

Online classes are a joke. Most of these teachers don''t know how to use camera properly and their teaching standards are fully exposed. People should make recording of some samples and post online so everybody can have a good laugh or cry..... Kindly Indian schools return all our money back....... you people are thieves....

Actually it should be reduced atleat 50% because the schools are doing online classes just for name sake, just to collect the fees as they can say they conducted online classes. For the last term how many hours they took online class? and they might be not paying the rent of school bulding too. we are ready to give if they conduct effectice classes even thru online

Teachers bank accounts and remittance transactions should be strictly investigated against their stated source of income. Many are making huge amount and stealing from the children for the sake of exam questions. They should be fined and publicly slapped tightly !!

There’s no reduction at all. Embassy to take initiative to give back the reduced amount to the parents who have paid already the full amount. Schools are insisting us to pay the amount, unless they are not ready to accommodate our kids to online classes

Dear sir,
Extremely appreciate your kind decision
Wish a similar decree will come forward for house rent as well, as many people lost their jobs and buildings are collecting full rent from their tenants

Have a great day!

Thank you MOE for reducing 25% School Fees.

Nice Slap on all Indian Schools who demanded Fees in Full. Many Schools harassed the parents. Many paid also. Now they need to refund or adjust to give effect to the above circular.

They should refund all fees for board exams which was cancelled.

Praise be Allah for this wise decision. Please also ensure that schools do not try to cover-up this reduction by charging side fees like maintenance charges and stationery charges etc...
