Kuwait to charge Three dinars per ticket as airport fee from June

Dr Abdullah Marafi, Minister of State for Housing Affairs, issued a ministerial decision to charge three dinars per ticket for departure passenger and two dinars for arriving passenger as an additional airport fee at Kuwait International Airport.

This decision will come into effect from the 1st of June 2021.

The additional fees will be applied to both citizens and expatriates alike, and it will be added to the ticket charges by airlines, sources added.

Hamed Sunday, January 31, 2021 India is giving so many services to Kuwait and to the world. But why is Kuwait creating problems for us Indians and charging us KD50/- plus KD5/- in the name of some unwanted PCR tests and airport services for incoming passengers from India? Kuwait never asked this earlier during the middle of the pandemic. That time, they had required a PCR test result from India to be produced in Kuwait upon arrival. Then 2 weeks home quarantine also was burdened upon us. Now when things are getting better and corona cases are coming down everywhere and vaccines have started to be given at a rapid pace in Kuwait and India and elsewhere, why is Kuwait going backwards and creating unnecessary burdens on passengers and charging them exorbitant amounts and burdening already burdened poor passengers?????!!!!! This is haram and totally unacceptable and no other country in the world would agree with Kuwait regarding this burden imposed on us passengers. Now people are not even interested to travel to Kuwait. May Kuwait change its policies and welcome people and help them so that we can help Kuwait, instead of doing the opposite....
