8th standard student of FAIPS DPS school in Ahmadi, Kezia Susan Sajan, released her first ever collection of poetry titled 'Lockdown Unlocked' in a glittering function held in India at her native place in Kerala in presence of eminent writers and cultural activists.

A short and sweet collection of poems written by 12 year old Kezia Susan Sajan was released in a ceremonious manner held at Travancore Regency Hotel Mavelikara. The book was released by Mr. Pramod Narayan, MLA and was received by the social activist and writer Mr. Sam Pynumoodu.

Professor V.C. John, cartoonist, social activist and former head of department of English, presided over the meeting. He marvelled at the beauty of language used and the sheer simplicity with which the thoughts and feelings were conveyed. He also shed light on the insightful expressions the young poet has skilfully used. B. Aburaj, Director of SIET and SIEMAT who delivered the keynote address further mentioned that it really was a spontaneous uninterrupted flow of her feelings about the life around her and she has expressed them with a great sense of humour. The MLA, in his short but powerful speech, commented that she is creating 'her story' and thereby was a revolutionist. The release was followed by a recital of one of her poems about online classes by the young poet herself. Kezia was further felicitated by Prof. Mammen Varkey (Former Principal of Bishop Moore College), Prof. Dr. Sabu George, Mathrubhumi former special correspondent Mr. K G Mukundan and Prof.V I Johnson.

Kezia Susan Sajan started writing at the age of 11, during the lock down period. She is the daughter of Sajan Rajan Oonnoonny, working in Kuwait as an HR Professional and Mrs. Elsa Sajan - a Teacher of English in the Ministry of Education. Her brothers Johan Varghese Sajan and Nathan Varghese Sajan are students of FAIPS DPS.

Kezia had also presented a copy of her book to the principal of FAIPS DPS Mr Ravi Ayanoli at her school.
