12th Year inaugural function of Kuwait Tamil Sangam (KTS) Kuwait was held at Fintas Marriage Hall, Kuwait at 6:00 PM on Wednesday 26th April 2017. Distinguished guests from various congregations attended the function and the Function was inaugurated with lighting of Kuthuvilakku by KTS ladies and the Chief Guest Dr. Jayanthasree Balakrishnan, followed by Thamizh Thai Vazhthu by KTS kids.

Dr. Pukalendran, KTS President welcomed the guests & members and briefed about the KTS activities and semi classical dance was performed by KTS children. Mr. Radhakrishan, General Secretary of KTS introduced the KTS committee member for the year 2017-18 to the audience and the team honoured Dr. Pukalendran for his achievement of his doctorate conferred by World Tamil University in the field of Social services in last year.

The famous Arabic “Tanoura Dance” was performed by the Egyptian dancers was applauded by the audience.

Honorary Speaker of the event, Dr. Jayanthasree Balakrishnan delivered an enthralling speech on the theme of “Role of Parenting (KULANTHAI VALARPIL PETRORIN PANGU)” which was very much important today, explained in an interesting way and well appreciated by the audience.

While chief guest addressed the audience on one side, the other side, Magic show was showcased by the famous magician Mr. Vinod Thodupuzha, especially for the children in a separate hall. At the end of the event, Karaoke Light music was performed by the “SRUTHILAYA Music Band”.

Mr. Ganeshkumar, Vice President of KTS gave vote of thanks and the event was concluded with nice dinner served by A2B Restaurant. The event was well anchored by KTS committee member Mrs. Vijayapriya Ramanan.
