Kuwait Center for Mental Health receives 6,000 patients a month

Kuwait Center for Mental Health receives an average of 6,000 patients per month, the Director of Al-Sabah Medical District, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shatti said. He was speaking on the celebration of World Mental Health Day, under the title "Mental health care for all, to make this slogan a reality".

Seeking the professional help for those who need such care in mental health area is not a stigma. One out of every five may suffer from some form of mental disorder, Al-Shatti added.

There is no local statistics about the effect of Corona pandemic on the mental health of people, however the global statistics Indicates an increase during a pandemic, the Head of the Psychiatry Department at the Kuwait Center for Mental Health, Dr. Ammar Al-Sayegh, said.

very well said by Dr. Ammar Al-Sayegh
many among us suffer from mental illness and after some time they reach on breakeven point and that is the reason many people commit suicide or try to hurt themselves.
since it is not practical for everyone to visit the specialist
one of the easiest way is to create awareness in digital form.
by video explaining how to be positive in every stage of your life.

i would also like to give a personal opinion
those who are stressed/depressed , i would like to suggest them a Movie called "Dear Zindagi"
in this movie very beautifully it is explained how we can fight or overcome from depression.
