Building integrated smoke detection and alarm system (EN54) is preferred over a battery operated smoke detectors. The need for such a system must be written in the fire safety code or norms (KFD) so that the systems will be installed during the construction phase by the owner

So the best we can do is keep busy with more good, thereby focusing less on wrongs and spread awareness.
