Install a smoke detector at home, advice Fire department

The Director of the Jahra Governorate Fire Department, Brig. Gen. Omar E. Al-Marshoud advised parents to install a smoke detector and fire extinguishers at home.

While educating the family about how to deal in the event of a fire and using firefighting devices for their safety, he also stressed the importance of using the original and approved electrical appliances.

As summer is in its peek at Kuwait, many fire incidents are reported in the country in recent days.

The Director of the Jahra Governorate Fire Department, Brig. Gen. Omar E. Al-Marshoud is advising to install smoke detector now, not after KFD changes building regulations.

What is your suggestion?
Should all expats gather and sign petition to The Director of the Jahra Governorate Fire Department, Brig. Gen. Omar E. Al-Marshoud and request him to change his mind and heart?

Building integrated smoke detection and alarm system (EN54) is preferred over a battery operated smoke detectors. The need for such a system must be written in the fire safety code or norms (KFD) so that the systems will be installed during the construction phase by the owner

Most Indians justify their choices and decisions based on what other people say or do. It is very common to hear comments like ''so and so also did this therefore I also did..'' or ''first tell this one to do then only tell me..'' or ''everybody is doing so I also did''
Hopefully they follow the same trend when thousands begin to leave before the end of this year. Or will they follow the ''Indian Crab Mentality''.
The Great Indian Crab Mentality is defined as “If I can''t have it, neither can you!”. ... It is no big secret that people in India hate to see others succeed, especially if that other individual happens to be from their peer group.

@Indian
''Stop that menace first then bla bla bla....''

This is typical Indian mentality to try to delay or procrastinate. No wonder Kuwait govt. want to remove 8 lakh of our citizens.
No developed or educated country delays a positive outcome because of some unrelated negative incident. Life is an eternal struggle between good and evil. So the best we can do is keep busy with more good, thereby focusing less on wrongs and spread awareness. But this is too much to expect from a country like India which thrives on sycophancy and argument for the sake of argument.

@Indian
First write your real name you troll !! You don''t represent India, so stop acting like it...
That proverb applies to positive application of a rule or standard.
Elements that thrive on subverting rules are part of every society including the most evolved, the most ancient or the most pretentious - like expats living in a foreign country where they are not wanted and talking about rules :)
Smuggling gold is also prohibited, then why keralite citizen recently arrested without bail for illegal use of diplomatic channel?

Very well said @jinu sim on john especially "When in Rome do as the Romans do.." In Kuwait alcohol drinking is prohibited by law, so why are people going and manufacturing illegal liquor and consuming/smuggling the same in Kuwait. Stop that menace first then the saying will be followed correctly.

The UK also ranks above average in personal security, environmental quality, civic engagement, social connections, health status, jobs and earnings, income and wealth, education and skills, and subjective well-being.
Can you guarantee these conditions from UK and kindly apply in Kuwait?
When in Rome do as the Romans do.....
