IES - Navratri Celebrations unravel a mélange of performances

Cherishing the noble thought that good always triumphs over evil, the cultural wing of Bhavans Middle East, ‘Rhythmscapes’ commemorated the Navratri festival with full zeal and zest. The cultural saga unfolded in the sanctimonious premises of Indian Educational School, Bhavans Kuwait in the balmy evenings from 29th September to 8th October 2019 with boundless piety and heartfelt devotion. The nine-day celebrations rejuvenated the spirits of the ardent devotees.

The divine festivity was inaugurated by Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon, the Chairman of Bhavans Middle East, by lighting the ceremonious lamp conjointly with Mr. Mahesh Iyer, Principal, SIS, his wife, Mrs. Rajeshwari Mahesh, Mrs. Rathi Raveendran, Principal, Jack & Jill and the most talented faculty of Bhavans Rhythmscapes. The events were perfectly arranged by the Event Coordinator, Mrs. Sandhya Babu. All the nine sacred days were graced by a plethora of artistic fortes like classical and semi-classical dances, dandiya, bhajans, classical songs, garba, and playing of the musical instruments. The celebrations received plaudits and support as in the yester years from Bhavanites, their parents, well-wishers, teachers, and the students and parents of the other Indian schools in Kuwait, who joined for a mega garba dance on the ninth day.

On October 8, 2019, the Vijayadashami day, parents walked into the auditorium with their children for their ‘Vidyarambam’, the first holy and auspicious step into the world of letters. The aura of divinity permeated as Mr. T. Premkumar, Mr. Mahesh Iyer, Mrs. Rathi Raveendran, the Principals, and Mrs. Lalitha Premkumar, the Vice Principal of Bhavans, Kuwait welcomed the tiny tots into the world of letters in the most traditional way. On the Vijayadashami day the temple of learning, also witnessed children stepping into the sphere of classical dance and music with the blessings of the preceptors of Rhythmscapes. devotional feast gradually culminated into mesmerizing notes of music and inspired noble thoughts in the serene ambience of IES.
